  1. Using a large wall space or bulletin board, divide the area into a grid, with a space for each student. We adhered 9” x 12” colorful paper to the wall to create our grid. This paper size also gave the student work a pop of color behind it.
  2. Next, take your clothespins and hot glue one to the top center of each paper. Because of our paper size, we needed to glue just the bottom half of the clothespin to the paper, so when a student’s standard 8.5” x 11” paper is hung, it’s not hanging below the colored paper.
  3. Optional: Next, hot glue a butterfly accent to each clothespin. We liked matching the butterfly color to the paper color for a monochromatic look. Feel free to add student names to the butterflies if you want your students to have a designated spot on the board.
  4. Next, define the space with some trim! We used Rainbow Cheer Bolder Borders® for ours. We extended the trim at the top of the display to leave space for a title.
  5. At the top, we strung a banner using Garden Path Tile Ready Letters® with the words ‘Grow Getters’. To recreate this, punch out your tile letters. Then, using a hole punch, add two holes to the top corners of each tile. Next, using jute twine, string the letters. We recommend adding a small piece of tape over the twine onto the back of the tiles to keep the tiles from sliding once the banner is hung.
  6. Finish off the blooming board with a few flower accents at the top.
  7. Optional: At the beginning of the school year, add a placeholder to each students’ space with the message ‘Amazing work coming soon.’ You can create your own using our coordinating Editable Digital Terrific Papers®.
