Days in School Flip Counter DIY
DIY
Track the number of days in school with a colorful DIY flip counter. Versatile Tile Ready Letters® from the Good to Grow Collection bring this flip counter to life with just a simple modification! Great for teaching number place values, counting practice, and tracking learning milestones like the 100th day of school.
Directions
Punch out your Tile Ready Letters® of choice. You’ll need enough numbers for each place value (hundreds, tens, ones) that equal the number of days you are in school. Then, using a hole punch, add a hole to the top of each number tile. Arrange your numbers from lowest to highest for each place value and secure each of them with a binder ring.
The Days in School Flip Counter can be hung from a wall, whiteboard, or bulletin board. We chose a magnetic surface and hung the flip counter from mini pawn magnets, as shown.
To finish off this DIY, label a name plate with ‘Days in School’ and hang in place.
